2017 GSRC Dashboard Activities

EDUCATE ADVOCATE SUPPORT INSPIRE
Educate the community at large about lung health by getting involved in Health Fairs across the state.  Advocate for the RT Profession by participating in and promoting Capital Day, PACT Day, and Virtual Lobby Week to increase awareness and garner more member participation. Support RT students by advertising the Scholarship Fund: what it is, who can apply, how much we have supported in the past, and how much is available this year.  Inspire the RT community by displaying their achievements on the website, on social media, and via email to highlighting a Student of the Month (or achievements of schools or institutions) and Employees of the Month across the state (or achievements of therapists at their respective facilities.)
Educate patients by getting involved in Asthma Camp: July 9-14, 2017.  Advocate for the RT Profession by acting as a liaison with other professional organizations such as: American Lung Association of Georgia, American Heart Association, etc.
Support RT students by implementing a Grant Committee to assist them in getting involved in activities such as Capitol Day, PACT day, board meetings, etc.  Inspire the RT community by displaying everything we do and everywhere we go on the website, social media, and via email.
Educate the Community at large by creating a yearly calendar of meeting dates and locations to be shared with AARC, social media, and placed on the website.  Advocate for GSRC Membership Engagement through extending invitations to students and members to attend Board Meetings especially those held in their region or district.  Support the community at large by attending health fairs and camps with GSRC volunteers via email, website, and social media promotions.  Inspire the RT Community by scheduling BOD visits to schools and facilities across the state. Annually put out an "All Call" for facilities and/or schools to request a BOD visit, then place them on calendar to be shared on website and social media.
Educate the community at large by holding an annual GSRC Lung Health Day with screenings and education for asthma, OSA, COPD, etc. This event should include representation from all GA districts.  Advocate for GSRC Membership Engagement by creating an annual calendar of events to promote greater membership participation including dates of the following: BOD meetings, Capitol Day, PACT Day, Virtual Lobby Week, GSRC sponsored health events, etc.
Support RT Professional Awareness and Advancement with educational support similar to ACCS prep courses, seminar topics, etc.  Inspire the RT Community by sharing GSRC/AARC updates and events at district meetings by Regional or District representatives.

Inspire RT Graduates by holding a statewide GSRC Pinning Ceremony at the Summer Meeting.
